Why a 2wd jeep? Well they make for a great convertible at a low price. Who needs 4wd for those who live south of Kentucky and dont go off-road. Here in Nashville you could take the top off 9 months out of the year. Have you priced convertibles lately? Very hard to find one for under 30K, unless...
no, its just dex 3, I am second guessing myself this morning and wondering about buying a TPS and trying it out. The only thing is that this problem only happens once its warmed up. It takes about 10 minutes to happen otherwise the lockup works fine. My friend thinks after its warmed up the...
after doing another hour of searching I found two other members had the same problem, tranny works fine, no TC lockup, it seems to be the failure of the #3 solenoid.
I'm not sure if its mechanical or electrical yet, I added the fluid about about 6 months and 10,000 miles ago so I'm not sure if thats it or not. My search yeilded alot of AW4 electrical issues.
I bought an XJ to give to my Mom next year, its a 96 sport AW4 4.0L. It had 131K miles when I bought it and it has 142K now. Overall its in decent shape and the engine runs very well. When I bought it the tranny fluid was reddish brown and smelled a little burnt. I changed 6 quarts out with some...
I also vote GTO. A friend just picked up a new 06 for $26-27000. Its sunset orange metallic. It says "I'm cooler than evo/subie kids"
If not then look for used CTS V's, they are way hot and will blow the SRT-8's off the street. I also agree that BMW makes some nice cars. Its too bad the Z3...
The last time I drove my mail truck on ice I discovered the benefits of shifting to neutral. You have to remember that we are talking about very low speeds, like below 10 mph. There is no compression braking.
The same torque that allows you to roll down the road at 7 mph with your foot off...
Find someone with or buy a fuel pressure guage. It hooks to a valve on the fuel rail, turn the key and it should prime to about 45 psi instantly.
If it doesnt or builds very slowly then its time for a new pump. Priming the pump a few times before actually cranking can help build enough...
Most of you will shout yes at my title because of the 30% loss in mileage for the 5% savings at the pump.
I think one of the biggest problems facing E85 is Flexfuel vehicles. Flexfuel is BS. Why build a motor to run on 87 octane and then tell people to go green and run it at 105 octane. All...
Or did you mean my stockers are 215/75/15and will 235/70/15 work? The answer is still yes.
Heres the breakdown, the first three digits are the tire width in MM, 255 is about 10 inches, 235 about 9 inches and so on.
The middle two digits are aspect ratio, or a percentage of width to make...
Can you rephrase that question?
Is one tire a 70 and one a 75?
A 235/70/15 will fit perfectly and your speedo will be pretty close, like with in 1-2 mph at 75 mph. Just make sure to check the date code or list it here if you are unsure.
The scoop that they used was JUST for add clearance under the hood. The blower will not fit under the stock hood. The blower is getting air from an airbox or open filter somewhere in the engine compartment. The could have used a rear facing cowl hood or just slapped a fiberglass box on the stock...
As for running nose high, I really dont think its an issue for an XJ. XJ's have a open grill with a sufficient frontal area to allow airflow in. Raising or lowering the front of vehicle that is a bottom feeder like my trans am is more likely to cause lack of airflow to the radiator as it has no...
Zoro I am really interested in how you have managed improve the average XJ highway fuel mileage from about 20mpg by 50% to 30 mpg. Can we have some details about your XJ.
I think the only way most folks are going to believe you is if you admit that you set your cruise control at 50 mph.
