I say one male and one female is o.k. I've always had trouble with more than one male in the "pack" especially if they're about the same size. It's a dog thing......
Two female's are o.k. but they will fight sometimes too.

I think the scotty is the REAL alpha here, it didn't get injured after all. I'd venture to blame the scotty for the whole thing, probably was playing them against each other.
