Yeah 93 xj, I remembered hearing that they were getting strict on cat replacement. That's why I asked if its harder than it used to be. Thanks everyone.

Hey guys, I know they got strict on cats so I'm sure I can't go to a random muffler shop and have one put on, my car failed smog amd the guy suggested my cat was done. For those that have gotten new ones recently, how do I go about getting a new one?

heres what i have, 2 31 10.5 15 tires, decent tread but have weather cracks, would make ok spares. stock exhaust manifold off my 93, has cracks and would need to be welded up. a set of stock jeep injectors. 2 stock jeep wheels, the black star pattern ones. come with used up 31 11.5 15 baja...

That easy huh? Mine died on me about a month and a half after the extended warranty ended. Looks like I have some research to do.
