Official Ron Paul 2012 Thread

Surprise, Ron Paul opposes NAFTA!

If we were interested in free trade, as the pretense is, you could initiate free trade in one small paragraph. This bill is over 1,000 pages, and it is merely a pretext for free trade. At the same time we talk about free trade, we badger China, and that is not free trade. I believe in free trade, but this is not free trade. This is regulated, managed trade for the benefit of special interests. That is why I oppose it.
-- Ron Paul

Really? You think there would be changes? Remember what the last guy that said things would change?

Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.*** It is still there. Candidates talk out their backside about crap they don't know anything about, get elected, then read the briefing books and get an education.

Ron Paul won't be different.

Of course he would. He's a 12 term congressman who has a long history of consitency and doing what he says.

Obama has no such track record.

I personally am against free trade. Tax the products coming from other countries where production costs are a fraction what they are here. You want money coming back to America? Take away the incentive for money to leave America. If a product is built here, no tax. If it's built elsewhere, tax it. If it's a mixture with some parts built here, others built elsewhere, prorate the tax based on percentages.

Here's one more reason to vote Ron Paul

http://news.slashdot.org/story/11/10/28/1921254/tsas-vipr-bites-rail-bus-and-ferry-passengers

"TSA's VIPR program may be expanding. According to the Washington Times, 'TSA has always intended to expand beyond the confines of airport terminals. Its agents have been conducting more and more surprise groping sessions for women, children and the elderly in locations that have nothing to do with aviation.' In Tennessee earlier this month, bus passengers in Nashville and Knoxville were searched in addition to the truck searches discussed here previously. Earlier this year in Savannah, Georgia, TSA forced a group of train travelers, including young children, to be patted down. (They were getting off the train, not on.) Ferry passengers have also been targeted. According to TSA Administrator John Pistole's testimony before the Senate last June, 'TSA conducted more than 8,000 VIPR operations in the [previous] 12 months, including more than 3,700 operations in mass-transit and passenger-railroad venues.' He wants a 50% budget increase for VIPR for 2012. Imagine what TSA would do with the extra funding."

Sure, and we've always been at war with Eastasia.

Also the terrorists have won. We've lost was was most precious to us (our freedom).

Ron Paul is the only candidate that doesn't seem to have any space junk orbiting around his cranium.

Oh, he definitely does. It's just not quite as close to the issues that I believe will screw us over in the very near future.

We didn't lose it, we voluntarily surrendered it.
Allow me a quote...
There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.

Bush, Obama... all the same shit.

Our rights are being eroded left and right. They have been for decades but the rate has greatly increased since 9/11. The patriot act, gun control, SOPA, ACA, and more. The DHS (remember how they were going to only handle terrorists? guess what. it came to light over the last day or two that they coordinated the near simultaneous removal of the Occupy Wall Street protesters nationwide. Glad our new police state is already being used against LEGAL, DOCUMENTED CITIZENS?) is overstepping their bounds. So is the TSA (they're checking highways now, and commuter transportation.)

And there isn't a god damn thing we can really do about it. Sign online petitions? yeah, they don't even print those out to wipe their asses with. Mail letters to your representatives? Like they give a XXXX. They don't read that crap. Call them? Now you might get somewhere, but it sure won't be them, maybe someone will add another tally mark to a list if you are lucky.

Did you know that SOPA supporters donated over 13 MILLION dollars to just the top 20 senators/congressmen they backed? With over 3 million each going to the top two? How unbiased do you think they will be in their voting?

Vote the bastards out... all of them. If they are an incumbent without a good voting record on things like this, vote them out, republican or democrat, doesn't matter. If both major candidates running are shitbags with their own horrible voting records / campaign promises, vote for anyone else, Green, Libertarian, Mars Separatist, it doesn't matter.

If we do not vote out the problem it will get worse.

Nice quote Kastein. "Remember, remember.....
