I got a '02 crf450r that is setup for trails and general beating.
Had some money burning a hole in my bank account so I picked up an '06 yz250 to turn into a track bike :D.
Search on google for an install of a YJ body lift then start at end and reverse the install. Basically just an un-bolt and remove, there can be some weird brackets/extensions for radiators, shifters, and bumpers. You may have to unbolt some lines or harnesses so they don't get overextended when...
I wouldn't plan on pulling a jeep around with it to often, for game it would be fine. You could also get a pulley block to double your line pull rating but it would be super slow and you would only be able to pull like 20 ft before you had move the anchor. The small winches don't have much line...

I use an old wire brush to kind of sweep the dust off the magnet. It seems to work decently. If the brush becomes magnetized hit the back of it on something to release the iron dust.
Get some scrap steel and get to practicing. Ideally get some scrap the same thickness as you are trying to weld for your project. I think XJ rails might be 16ga(?), so pick some of that up and try and welding what ever thickness your stiffeners are too it. You have to concentrate most of the...
