Something to look out for when replacing a fuel pump is the hose between the pump outlet and the outlet tube. I know when I went to replace my fuel pump (after unusual and sporadic symptoms) I found the neoprene hose hard, so I double clamped it and keep the new pump as a spare. I think neoprene...

What should I look for that causes a high idle on a stock 4.0 w/stick transmission 91 XJ. It started idling at 1300rpm when cold and 1000rpm after it warms up.
