NWFest 09

Nice stuff, thanks Michael! I'm looking forward to wheeling Naches. Hopefully I'll be locked F/R by then with 33's. :)

Hurry up and sell your bike, do a rear axle build, and get some big boy tires under that Jeep of yours. :D

P.S. I may just have my 8.25 locked by then. Ive got other things on my to do list before that though...

Friday, June 26th
Easy Run, Leave at 11:00AM (3Hrs up to Rocks, 2Hrs back down)
1702, 1720, Bald Mt, C.J.R.s Hideout, Moon Rocks/Funny Rocks, Milk Lake, 1708
Moderate Run, Leave at 11:00AM (12 rig max) (4 Hrs up to Rocks, 2 Hrs back down)
1708, Lower Woodpecker, Upper Woodpecker, Summit to Moon Rocks/Funny Rocks, Milk Lake, 1708
Epic Run (leave at 8:00AM, 8 rigs max, 33’s and 1 TAD, Experience!!) 10 Hrs-12Hrs Hans/Michael to lead group
Kaner Flats, Shoestring, Tripod Flats, Buck Meadows, Quartz Mt., Wells Meadow, Manastash Ridge, String (Rocks), Tipover, Upper Woodpecker, Lower Woodpecker.
Raven’s Roost Night Run (Leave 1hr, and 2hr’s before Sunset)
Main road for stock vehicles, Powerline (900) for modified

It seems like another hard run might need to be added for Friday. Maybe run Kaner Flats, and then spend a couple hours at the rocks.

With only 8 spots open for the epic run, I foresee a lot of people and rigs looking for something laid back/challenging to do. Maybe an unofficial run can get organized on Friday morning.

Also, has anyone checked into getting a NWF Forum set up?

Also we should start thinking about tech demos when and where. We had talked about doing some stuff last year but it never really worked out.

I think that the best time would be saturday night before dinner or between dinner and the raffle. Master Pull would be prepared to do some demos on proper winching technique using tree savers and snatch blocks.

I have actually been waiting very patiently for this class for over a year now, can I have some more information?
I can send you the "Getting Started" handbook if you want. Paypal me the first easy payment of $47.99 to get started on the first leg of your journey to becoming a Certified Zip-Tie Master Tech.

what about that teeter toter thing you drive on and balance? or you can take 4 6x6 chunks of wood and place them in front of all 4 tires and try to park on top the the 6x6 chunks of wood. ill come up with more later.

My after dinner games will involve distilled beverages. I haven't decided yet about tech requirements, but most of you will be welcome to play.

What do you think of a mini-crawler event for the R/C guys? I don't have one, but I know heaps of guys on here do and I'm sure it would be a blast to watch after a few cocktails.

Sure, you provide the booze, I'll provide the moves.;)
Sounds like cheap entertainment to me. :shhh:
