Durango steering box install (56k beware)

Lots of good information in here.

I will add that you NEED to space out the durango box because of its larger piston.

I installed mine with no washers a few years back and it broke the factory aluminum spacer.
 
Okay i got a durango box today from the local PAP
I keep reading to put 99 box in..... mine is a 98 it looks like stock cherokee box i was told by someone a 98 would work because he put it in his xj
what givs who is right?

I have read this thread and have ordered a Durango Box to install in my 2000 XJ some time in the next week.
 
Ive had a Durango box installed for a while.

Its seems to be developing slop or a dead spot. I also noticed when its cold, it feels stuck then pops loose.

Is it a goner?
