I live in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago, and there are TONS of XJ's in the junkyards. You should be able to get a good seat in your local JY for $50 to $100, and all you have to do is unbolt it from the Jeep it's in.

There is only one pick and pull here and the place is a shit hole! The local Jeep junk yard wanted $150 for a seat. I asked if it was rebuilt... no its torn up! Well WTF I dont need a torn up seat.

However it's amazing you spent 4 hours sewing. Do you have pics of the seat before and after by chance?
