Why stock wheels are better

True, but for 31s the stock wheels are perfect. If you run wheels with less backspacing, you can't tuck.

I loved my 33x9.5's. Killer in the snow esp. since they where studded.

Yup, i'm running some 31's now on a 4.5" offset wheel with a 2"BB and it rubs just about everything at every angle.

Not really, but it rubs all the fenderflares.

My 31s rubbed the LCA when I turned, so I cant agree about the stock XJ wheels but I can say with the Rubi wheels and 245/75/16s I had no rubbing at all.
