I sent "Senator" Boxer this email in response. If you're from California, I invite you to do the same.

Dear Ma'am,

I'd like to express my disappointement with your need to scold a member of our military for calling you "ma'am" during a recent hearing. The last time I checked, that term is one of respect used towards a senior officer. Considering your contempt for our military and your lack of service, I understand why you would lack knowledge of this show of respect.

In the future, I would thank members of our military for showing you such a sign of respect. I can think of a few other choice names I would love to call you in your presence, but if you find ma'am insulting I may just stick to that.

As far as your "hard work" to get that title, please remember that the citizens of California can take that away from you at any time. It belongs to us, not you.

edit: sorry for typo in the title.

I would just call her a D-bag. Or I guess I would refer to her by her full title EVERY time I start a sentence or answer a question. She would get tired of that real quick.

Boxer is a twit and anything exiting her mouth should be viewed with contempt and disbelief. Same goes for Fienstein.

Maybe thinking that having a service member address someone with the title of sir or ma'am was common knowledge. I'm in the Navy and just out of respect everyone gets addressed as such. It's such a shame that Brig. Gen. Michael Walsh was scolded for that and most likely even from his own command for being 'wrong'.

I would hope his command wouldn't give him any trouble. The Protocol allows for Sir or Ma'am as an appropriate title for any higher-ranking officer in the chain of command.

The catch is - Senator Boxer isn't due any more respect than pretty much any other civilian. As I recall, Congresscritters aren't elements in the military chain of command... "Ma'am" would be about all she was due, since she doesn't hold any sort of rank on the General in the first place.

And she "worked hard for that title?" I'll just about guarantee you that the General worked harder for his - to get it and to keep it - and he's done more for the country than Boxer would ever hope to be able to.

Just when I think they can't get any shallower in Washington, they somehow manage to drain just a little bit more out of the pool...

Barbie needs to do 50 pushups in the mud.....then she needs to be fired.

The State of California's financial, welfare, employment, housing, eco-terrorist pandering situation is a glaring example of what Boxer and her partners-in-crime in Washington are attempting to do to our whole nation.

This is what Socialism gets you folks.....had a gut full yet? Time to do something about it.

Howabout 50 koala pushups? If you're going to put someone to some strain, may as well do a good job at it, y'know?

I think fifty koalas with her hands in a foot and a half of water should do, that will allow her to dunk her head (which is something I've been wishing that statist broad would do for years - but sending a Senator a letter that reads "Go soak your head" is a good way to ensure it isn't getting read...)

Heh. Wanna "work" for that title? How about we put all elected officials through Basic (if they haven't already been) as part of the prerequisites for taking the office?

C U N T would have been a better choice IMO

Yes, I wasn't smart enough to put the space between the letters. Thanks.

I've always found that nothing will break a spirit quicker than low crawling in full war gear.

Yah. Why do you think I said they should go through Basic? No preferential treatment, and only two rollbacks possible before you get washed out (and if you break out of Basic, the next-most votes gets to try.)

Let's see her hauling around battle rattle and an old Hammer Ace SATCOM radio for a while, and then I'll listen to her prattling on about "doing a lot of work" to get that office...

That would be comical.

Just remember she earned that title!:roflmao:

Yeah. I don't remember exactly what a Hammer Ace tipped the scales at, but I remember them being heavy bastards!

Throw in a rifle and 270 rounds of ammo, a sidearm and some extra mags, a week's worth of MREs, several canteens, water PurTabs, a First Aid kit, a field knife, and all the other goodies that go into battle rattle (what the Army calls TA-50, and all the little "extras" that individual soldiers like to carry around,) and you're getting up there.

Hell, I'd pay money just to see her hump a 75# pack of bricks twenty miles to keep her job. The only condition? You do not stop - for anything. You eat on the march, drink on the march, and it may be easier to just pee on yourself if you want to keep your job... (Men have the advantage here - undo the fly, turn around, and let it all hang out. Tuck it back in and button it up when you're all done...)

They need to go through Basic before being put on the ballot. JIM.

Correction, they need to do 4 year ACTIVE before they can run for office, or even vote IMO. That needs to be put in the next constitution once the coming bloodshed is over....
