Are you at all concerned about fuel mileage, or is it irrelevant at this point?

I'm not concerned about fuel mileage. My Jeep is mainly used for utilitarian purposes so it doesn't see the highway much. I'm going to add lights to a roof rack anyway, so I figure having a tire up there isn't going to make that big of a difference at this point. I don't like that the tire blocks the rearview either.

I found this today, looks like it could be a great way to build a customized roof rack. I would even see about welding the joints also.

Since your only running 31's put your spare in the stock location. It's a pain gettin it off the roof when you need it.
