    Bypass switch for A/C?

A little slow but here they are. Pardon the dust. It's sat for a few months. and

    Bypass switch for A/C?

Yes and I haven't had any issues with it (it's been on there for about 2 1/2 years now). Right now I'm using a 3/8in red push button on the top right of the panel (same spot where the small G.M. cars have theirs). I only went with the red because I had it at home and it took the same size...

Did a full brake job and zj disc swap, still not happy with braking power

What kind of brake fluid did you put in? Synthetic will give you the GM style mush pedal and just sucks. When I did the swap I used synthetic and it was a bad idea. About a year later after I went back to standard dot 3 I finally saw "the world of difference" I was hoping for.

    Bypass switch for A/C?

On my 00 I tapped into and added a switch to the a/c sense wire on the hvac panel plug (the black one with seven terminals). If you are looking at the contact end of the black plug, the a/c sense wire will be the second from the left (or in the #6 spot, same thing). HTH

Glasspack for more clearance.. sound like crap?

I had a glass pack w/cat on my 2K for a while and hated it. I went as far as to put one of the Monza resonator tips on to quiet it down (which it did significantly) but it still sounded like crap. Had a weird drone at 50+ and with a heavy foot like mine it was always loud. The only cool thing...

Just bought overhead computer console for my 00 XJ. Any tips?

Thanks for the offer. I personally do not have the time to maintain a site or the desire at this point but I am happy to forward my files to share as long as I'm given proper credit for them.

opinions on adjustable shocks for tow rigs?

Go with the air bags. I put them on my XJ and it was a world of difference. Airlift makes a great kit that was easy to install. As a fail safe, get one of the cheapo $5 compressors and pair of the nice metal w/o-ring valve stem caps.

Just bought overhead computer console for my 00 XJ. Any tips?

If you want to PM your email, I still have all the info from my old site. Install & wiring diagrams and such.

    OEM piston rings

Stupidity broke it. Motor has about 8k on it, had to redo bearings due to oil pump failing due to head crack. I pulled the pistons out so I could clean the block before putting it back together and when I was spinning/checking the rings it snagged on my coat and I broke it. I rather pay ~$12-15...

    OEM piston rings

Just realized I posted in modified. To save my arse it's for a stroker.:twak:

    OEM piston rings

Could anyone direct me in the right direction where to find a single cylinder ring set? Everywhere I've looked they want to sell me a 6 pack. I found some on rockauto, the first two listed (http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1363384,parttype,5640) but they say they are specifically for...

Kill switch for A/C in winter?

I tapped into the dash switch to kill mine (2000). I installed a switch in the top right corner of the control panel, similar to the one in my Cavalier. I don't get quite the power boost when I turn it off though as I do in the car though.:looney:

Oil Relocation Kit and Sending Units

Sorry to hijack. 5-90, what is a dry break fitting? I assume it is either one that doesn't leak when removed or one that closes in the event of leakage but, you know what they say about assume. Thanks for the knowledge.

Oil Relocation Kit and Sending Units

I added a tee to the factory sender to run my mechanical pressure gauge. Easy and economical. You can also hug the block/other lines with the capillary tubing. As for the temp sender, I will probably run a tee off of the output line on the block plate. A quick trip to your local Ace or hardware...

Trailer the XJ with the ZJ? Need advice.

I don't have the experience with a ZJ but, I have pushed it with my XJ. (Stroked, 4 wheel disc, trans & oil cooler, air lift bags and a weight distributing hitch) At my old job I dragged a 24ft enclosed car hauler for a week, 2.5 k empty, 5-6k loaded (Jelly Belly displays) and it wasn't...

Trailer the XJ with the ZJ? Need advice.

If you don't have a trailer, get or borrow a tow dolly with electric brakes. Way lighter and helps you stop significantly. As for the ZJ, add a trans cooler if you don't already have one and some sort of air assist for the rear if you plan on towing it often. The small tire idea isn't a bad idea...

62 MM thortle body worth it?

Definitely worth it if you have a stroker. Mine cost me about $45. $30 for the butterfly (from Accurate Power) and $15 for the lathe bits that came in a workbench I bought at a garage sale (I traded the bits for the labor). If you can get it cheaper its worth it. $150 for one on a stock motor...

    push button start

Also check www.bulldogsecurity.com or some other diy remote starter brands site. I know on the one I mentioned, they tell what wires are what for an easier install. You and the remote box both need the same wires. HTH

    push button start

Any specific reason you don't want to replace the tumbler? They are pretty cheap at Murrays/Kragen, etc. It would probably take less time to replace than the push button install. A push button start would be fun though.

Magnaflow High flow cat and mufflers

I have a 2k, no pre-kitties. I put the magnaflow cat on a semi stock exhaust and noticed a minimal difference. The tone was a hair deeper (or so I hoped) but I really didn't notice a performance difference (I also have a stroker though). Mine was going and I bought it more on price than features...
