    Homo's want YOUR boys!

Bigotry is such a handsome trait. It belies a fundamental and intuitive understanding of humanity, and demonstrates superior intelligence and compassion. :looser:

    Forgotten stuff

That favorite tools thread got me thinking ... it might be fun to know what folks have forgotten to pack then regretted it... For me the most memorable one is a nipple for the compressor. I had to drive 12 miles of pavement at 20 mph to find air. Oops. (heh. the wife chimes in ... "don't...

Totally awesome. Sandra marks off the scale, sheesh. I'm so green I'm about ready to sprout. (yeah, I said that) Congrats!

    Sierra Chapter nominations..........

Jes, I wholeheartedly endorse your nomination (as I do all the others) ... and I was a bit surprised too when you said that you were disappointed that you didn't get much help over the last year ... I'm relatively new here, but I never had a clue that the chapter needed help that it didn't...

    Microsoft office upgrades

Last night I was playing computer guy for a neighbor and built up a new PC and installed Windows 2000. All went well until I tried to install Office 2000 and discovered that I had brought along an upgrade CD set. It kept telling me that it couldn't find any "qualifying products" already...

TOP 5 favorite tools in your toolbox!

On the trail, I assume? My favs in the shop are totally different than those in the back of the Jeep. For that, I really have only one favorite, and it's a fabbed tool... a plywood folding ramp that I originally built for the dogs, but I use it as a jack platform, table, toolbench, ground...

    Another PC question

If, after clearing what you want from the StartUp folder, you still have things in the system tray that you don't want, they are probably being started by the registry. I'm sure you've heard all the caveats about running RegEdit. Make a backup of your registry first, of course. Enter "regedit"...

    Again.....what is a "REAL XJ"?

That sort of exemplifies my experiences with this group. I joined with a bit of trepidation, knowing that I'm in the minority, politically speaking, but NAXJA folks, on the whole, embrace their own diversity well. Here's to us! Elitist? Hell, yeah, we're elitist by definition -- we're...

    Again.....what is a "REAL XJ"?

I think there is a point where an XJ is morphed beyond recognition as a "real" XJ, and that the purpose of the thread was to try to define that point ... hmmm ... too many variables. There's a big grey area between a moderately modified grocery-getter and a trailer-queen rock crawler. I don't...

    Thank you Vetrans!

A plea to all of us ... those who've served and those who haven't. Take a bit of time today and remember that at this moment American military people are serving us world wide. In danger or not, it doesn't matter, they are all there to help keep us safe. Whether you agree with our current...

Well said, Woody! I couldn't agree more.

    Believe it or not...

I don't remember those kinds of details, sheesh :) If nobody here comes up with an answer quuick, you might try Centerfire systems, they still sell the 7.62 ammo in several flavors. It's getting harder to find these days off base. hth

    Who wants pizza?

I assumed from his sig that it was an MJ. I could be there, btw, lemme check with the boss. She's pretty good about that if I give her enough lead time, and this should be plenty.
