Well......I have tried to stay out of this, but as the BFG tire expert here (at least in my mind) I have to toss in my .02

I was getting 100K miles plus out of my 31" A/Ts on my Ranger.
I get about 50K out of my M/Ts on the Jeep (when I drove it that much)

The BFG A/T is a very capable tire that never let me down, I would not run it in deep mud, but would not hesitate to run it anywhere else. It is hands down the winner if you are running mostly on street.

The M/T is a great tire, it will not do well on ice or light snow, or wet pavement, but anywhere off-road you can't lose. I have run them exclusively on my Jeep and will never run another tire on an off-road rig.

In your case, I would go A/T and deal with the restrictions on mud. You will be very happy.

I completely agree with Rev on this.

do you DD yours jake?

This is a tread thread, afterall.

Unless you have enough HPs to power out of it, mud will likely reduce any tread pattern to a slick. I try to avoid mud now that I've been stuck one too many times.

Huh???

The stock 4.0 has plenty of power to clean the tires.

At least in MWC mud.

ive spent 2 evenings wet vacing and shampooing my rug because i was stuck with water up and over the rockers. im done with mud and especially deep water. it just breaks things without even being fun.

Maybe the mud is like the air out there..........thick! :D

looking at all the post about how AT's will be better for me i pulled the trigger and ordered some.............MT's :D 33/10.5/15

the wifey said to order what i want because if i don't i wont be happy with them and i will be looking for another set quicker

i have faith in BFG's having a long tread life so we will see

Smart choice on the size! I really wish other companies would make more in that size.... *going with the same once these 31's wear out or get sold off*

can I get an idea of what you paid? The 33x10.5 are appealing to me, and my 34x9.5s have reached the end of their life.

I'm going to have to take a hard look at how yours perform @ WF. I stay away from the deep mud mostly, so I'm not too concerned there. I want something that grips on the rocks. I always had to spin the TSL's and it resulted in a lot of chunking.

I think I'd like to stay Bias Ply though for the durability aired down.

I assume you don't drive the truck on the street much? I loved the 34x9.5 SS's off road, but on road, they were borderline SCARY!
