Will this DS work for me?

Saw this on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JEEP...Z6755QQitemZ4594389066QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW. I have 93' sport, 4.0, AW4, np242, and will be installing either the RE 4.5 or 5.5. I want to use the RE H&T but I need opinions on the rear DS options. Also for the front DS does it matter if it came off an AW4 or AX-15 for length issues? He said it fits a 87-90, I assume thats if your are going to install it in the front. Does rear axle type matter?

it might work. i tried this on mine and the drive shaft was to short because, i have the dana 35 rear axle, and it is pyhically shorter than the 8.25 as far as how far the yoke sticks out. What you should do is measure and see what you need, because i noticed that he provided a measurement. Good luck

It will probably be too short at 5.5. I tried to use a front driveshaft at 6.5" and it was no where near long enough to fit, sitting at ride height.. which means when drooping you'd be maxing it out. It's just not that expensive to do it right the first time.
