who stood in line for an xbox 360 last night?

I saw a bunch of kids at Wal-mart yesterday at about 11 AM. None of these kids were old enough to be out of school yet there they were.

If my kid wanted to get out of school to wait in line for a stupid video game we would be very mad at me.

I think Wal-Mart should be charged with some sort of Truancy laws for letting them hang out there while school was in.

I agree, I would say waste of money also, but the xbox 360 is more than just a video game system, it's a media center. we're gonna cancel our premium cable features such as DVR because the xbox will handle that now.

I can't complain though, I'll spend $400 on a handbag.

right now they will be better than the PC. If your PC is 2 years old you've got some Radeon piece of junk or a GeForce4 or similar. Lame. My vid card is 1 year old and it is already too crappy to play new games.

my 17yo girly girl just killed a couple for some stupid clear taillights, blue headlight bulbs, flowery seat/steer wheel covers and the requisite cornucopia of air fresheners :dunno: Her money + her happy = me happy.

I killed much more on a set of bling head and tail lights, harnesses plus a mongo alternator :dunno: My money + me happy = CGAF who else is.

Im not paying $500 for something that my LAPTOP does 3 times better. Especially when I just sold my XBox cus I am sick of it. The only good thing on XBox is Dead or Alive and Halo...and LIVE is a joke. Just a bunch of hacking and cheating noobs on there. Im waiting for the PS3 to come out. It is so gonna rock. Not to mention everything is backwards compatible unlike that loser machine called the 360. Pfft...Playstation all the way.

Thats not true at all. The video card in the xbox 360 is like a 32 or 64 meg card or something like that. Its crap. The only reason you THINK the graphics on the 360 look good is cus your not used to seeing it on your TV. I hook my laptop up to my TV and play Doom 3 or FEAR or even EQ2 in HD...yes you heard me...my laptop does High Definition.

What the play stations? They already had a problem with the developer systems for the PS3. They all burned up by overheating. Thats why they pushed back release again. But that just means they will be that much better when they are released. Im a RPG and Final Fantasy freak anyway...so Playstation is better for me.

yes it is, but if ebay thinks its fradulent bidding they will step in and cancel or stop the auction till it is proven that is a legiment auction. that ans the fact that the high bidder was a nooby. thats the thing about ebay, you can get people to bid your stuff up and when someone doesnt out bid them you just relist and it starts all over again. ebay just isnt trust worthy any more on hot ticket items. but to each his own. $2400 bucks for something you can buy at the store for what? $500 $600. seems a little funny to me.

My Sli'd rig would have trouble keeping up with this thing- based on the specs anyways.

Im sorry but if you have an SLI computer that is having a hard time keeping up with the 360 then either you dont know how to build a computer or you got shafted on a peice of crap computer. All the 360 is is another computer, there is nothing special in it other than a video card you cant buy off the shelves that was designed for it. The proof is all in the numbers.

Still though...im trying to figure out why they would only put in a 10 meg card...granted 500mgz processor for the card is decent...but 10 megs? Come on...give the thing some ballz already. I think they are trying to keep the market down so they can keep making money off of future system releases.
