which header

Lot's of "Heard it from a guy who had a cousin that that saw it first hand" stories on various forums about header wrap. Sadly they keep getting passed around as Gospel with no hard evidence to support them.

Mild steel headers? No, they are going to rust fairly quickly as it is. SS. headers? Far less likely to rust ta dust...

So if you're installing a set of bare mild steel headers, paint them (properly) with VHT paint, wrap 'em, run 'em, enjoy the slightly cooler underhood temps.
 
I don't want to hijack this thread but this seems like the place to ask what the opinions are on the JBA headers. specifically the ones listed here...

seems like almost all the good headers are some grade of stainless steel these days, but these are a little thicker material and the diameter at the merge collector is larger as well to accept a larger diameter exhaust system... thoughts?
