For installation, I would recomend making a little shoe horn install tool out of a straw. Cut a a section of the straw a few inches long, then cut the tip of the straw so that it comes to a point, then cut a slit on one side along the direction of the axis. Insert the RMS half into the straw, then use the straw to protect it from the sharp corners of the groove while you try getting it to start into the groove.
I also used a little oil on the crank side of the seal, and then dishwasher detergent on the outside of the seal to lubricate it. Worked well.
