Just thought I would share a new rear bumpstop I put together. The bolts that held the stock rear bumpstops in place sheared when I tried to take them out to put new ones in (longer bumpstops that is). I couldn't put any new bolts in the holes and didn't feel like dealing with drilling them out and retapping it.
I used a piece of 2"x2" tubing and welded a 90degree piece to it. Bolted up the new bumpstops, and used some self tappers to hod the assembly to the frame rail over the top of the old bumpstop location. The bumpers I have are 1 inch longer, so I can take them off and put the stock ones on if need be.
I just thought if anybody else broke the bolts in the weld nuts, they might be interested in a solution.
