For as much of a pain in the ass it is, especially, especially, especially your first time.....isn't it rewarding as hell?
the next ones you do will go smoother, set-up bearings are a joy to use on the carrier, and added bonuses like a floor shop press speed things up.

i had set up bearings for the locker but not for the pinion
i saved the old outer pinion bearing and will bore it out for the next time
i think im getting the "feel" for moving shims around
when i first started i was getting so pissed i was kicking a milkcrate around
i think gears are more of an art but well see next time
