i just actually read the thread.... sigh... man alfred, you need to do a LOT more research before you build... im sorry, i dont want to flame you any more than you've already been, but damn man...

drag link [ok steering as a whole]
"frame" plates
cross member
welds
bushings/joints

these are things that you MUST adress... for your sake man.

Al... buddy.
You really had the XJ GAWD's scared for a bit there. Thankfully you did a bit of soul searching and seeked out profesional help. Pat on the back for you. Them XJ Gawd's are smiling now. Knowing when your in over your head is a sign of confidence. Those fellow XJ'ers that are in your area, I think once they see that a proper build was done by a competent shop. They will welcome you onto the trail with rolled up tow straps, Where before, they would have scorned you on the trail with unrolled tow straps.

hey, don't do a mock of that steering.

yea you can get the same parts, but buy or make a track bar bracket that runs on top of the tube. (jks, tnt can make them). then you can run tierod OTK and draglink on the bottom of the pitman:rolleyes:

I added the JKS bracket to my currie9. welds to axle, and the springcup/mount in two places. this is using WJ knuckles though. But you if you go all OTK it wil still work out. built the steering an tracbar. this is right after i was done, and again there are soooo many steering threads out therrrrrr

X2

With the JKS over the axle bracket, and 1-ton TREs OTK you can get your drag link and track bar perfectly parallel. You may be able to get pretty close with the heim joints.

I don't have any pictures that show my knuckles, but here is one that shows the links.

I'm also running a full width HP44, using stock ford knuckles.

What are your plans to locate the axles? Are you going to re-use the radius arms up front and 4-link the rear?

once i get the axles done im going to 4 link the whole jeep. im going to do the front now, i realize that they dont look good at all so im going to start over
