just a thought a guy I work with has a grand cherokee 5.9 and it came with vents. any one have any experience with these. are they acually vents or just for looks? just a thought I had at work today

Wow, that´s the second pic of an Orvis I´ve seen on the net.

Not all european diesels had this hood vents, only the Orvis-vehicles and they are quite rare.

I´ve asked the local stealership about the Orvis/5.9er vents - yes, they can order them, for about $600,- - sure!

I remember years ago reading in one of the 4x4 mags about Aussie XJ's, and they had factory hood vents to deal with theextreme heat they have down there. They were positioned on either side of the middle line of the hood, runnning long-ways. Come to think of it, they kinda looked like LeBaron vents.....
