gear check

Wait.. I see it's a 30. I'd probably tighten up the backlash down to .006". This will also bring your pattern into the toe of the gear. It tends to climb towards the heel under load, and 30's are known for opening up over time as well.

ok good to know as thats actually about what i ended up with. :star:
 
Are those "used"(they sure look like it) gears?If so,you really should have pulled a pattern prior to dis-assembly!
