I just finished installing a 3" lift kit on my 92 xj. How do i know if I need an alignment? I have test drove the jeep, and it drives just as good as it did before I did the lift, doesn't pull to one side or the other. opinions needed,thanks....Ben
Your toe is almost certainly off (unless it was messed up before the lift). Changing the toe will change the steering wheel centering. The two are not completely independent, even less so after a lift.
You can't lift it 3" and not have the toe change. It's the way it works, toe in changes with suspension cycling. Reset your toe in, then re-center your steering wheel, and all will be good.
