I know i know super old thread. Why not bring it back to life. Im interested in seeing some ECU relocation pix and ideas as well. Id like to move the ECU on my 95
I don't see gaining more than about 6" from any location under the hood. Personally I would take the time to properly seal it before trying to move it - clean connectors with a plastics-safe fast-drying solvent (acetone? 100% isopropyl?), pack them with dielectric grease, then install in something like a .50 cal ammunition box and heavily silicone the wiring harness - coating each individual wire with silicone before adding it to the rest of the bundle to avoid any voids between wires going unsealed.
Vacuum will take the path of least resistance, vacuum needs are being satisfied by the largest supply of air at ambient atmospheric pressure, THE INTAKE.
