Glad to hear the flop was relatively minor. I have been impressed with both how capable these Jeeps are and how quickly things can transition from normal to squirrelly.

I opted for cutting the rockers and using the minimum size box tube to extend past the sill. A small square piece of tube was used in the channel above the rocker replacement to reinforce and spread an upward load. The square tube was rosette welded to the body while the rectangular rocker...
Really Joe... I have serious doubts about anyone who would advise anyone... especially someone who normally wears sweats... to respond to an add that requires them to ask for the GOD FINGER :shocked:
Thank you for posting up Dustin. I have been checking the forums looking for another event and would love to make a weekend of it. Summer being what it is half of my August weekends are already spoken for; but if the schedule aligns then I will block my calendar and plan on attending.
Beyond the location...
1. The snapped D44 shaft was on 33's
2. It ate a lot of other parts when it finally let go: brake rotor, caliper, bearings, mud flap hanger, etc.
But the subtle pieces that struck me most about the power of the incident was how cleanly the mud flap bar was wrapped...
Just wanted to say thanks to the sponsors and organizers of NW fest. I had a great time, ate good food, and won a very nice raffle prize.
There was a lot of good planning and preparation that went into the event.

Thanks for the photo's Scott sorry to hear of the continued problems. The shaft let go just short of the Chinook pass summit heading home. There was a loud bang and the wheel sheared off at highway speed.
