ARRRRRRR!!!!!!!
they are bias ply's the cracks are still leaking. Its slow... i figure the plys have seperated at this point.. and a tube is my only option -or- to keep them aired up about every three days. (not too bad) i had thought about the tube thing, but...
I have a set of TSL Swampers that has been leaking for about a year. I always thought it was from too much crap around the bead, and didn't worry too much about it. but I ttried to fix them yesterday, and there is air coming out from a few cracks in each tire's sidewall. those cuts that you get...
I broke my fiberglass hatch and replaced it.. but the new one has an allignment issue-- its hitting one of the taillights, and its about an inch away from the other..
How do you align it?
also.. Should I keep it?
When I went to remove the rusty latch and put in my key cylinder I managed to...
Living in California, and working on a trail jeep (which I assume this is since you are not fixing the dents) I wouldn't worry too much about rust. I say this living in Vermont where they pave the roads with salt, and I drive my 88 Jeep a lot.
I would try to push out the rocker damage with a...
It sounds like a really dirty or otherwise non-functioning CPS.. its a pain to replace, but I think that could be the culprit... low RPMs sound to me like the engine doesn't know how fast its running, and the alt isn't charging enough.
One thing to think about is that lots of new cars these...
I would look to a poorly charging alternator and a mostly dead battery. the fuel delivery is dependant on a good charge...
but at the same time, being able to race the motor almost precludes all of that since you need to get power to the fuel pump to do any of it.
Have you gone around and...
4 liter? they are holes that a bolt runs through if I'm not mistaken... If the threads are wasted.. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to run a longer bolt out through the ends or someting like that..
-looking forward to the pictures

A related Question.. is there a way to run a centered rear diff and an 18? its hard to find offset rear ends that can hold their mustard withour spending a million.
or.. is there a way to give an 18 a center output shaft?

Has anyone had issues with using tires that were on a pinch-type beadlock and running them on regular wheels? I re-mounted a set and three of the four leak.. they'll all hold air for a day or three, but after a week, only one is off the rim. I was going to try bead sealant (the goo above), but...
I have too much travel to use it like that.
What do you guys think about a James Bond - style bumper?
Maybe a winch that pops up from mowhere.. or a spare tire that swings itself out? ... or up!
:anon: In my own defense.. I would worry about brakeing hard from speed and the passenger side wanting to twist forward with the wheel. Without the upper on that side there is little except the torsional resistance of the axle tube itself to stop it.. right? Until these pics, it wasn't clear...
