Race Shock PSI...

Have you ever subscribed to a thread because you THINK it might get entertaining?

I have.

lol I guess it's going to, this was just a simple question how much PSI are you running? My mistake was I also stated I think my suspension is a little stiff, omg that was it right there the lectures began, so I should mention this jeep has not hit the road or trail yet, it's not even done, I just put the shocks on, It threw up a flag to me since the ass end does not drop with weight put in it (or standing on the bumper ;)) therefore it seemed a little stiff to me, haven't even gotten to the compression, or rebound settings yet, haven't driven it, no whoops just seemed like it wasn't moving as much as one would expect. So first thought I'll ask the NAXJA guys they will know, guess that was a mistake.

go read the user manual for your shocks tard, people were kind enough to post anyways, yet you ramble on.

your not the only one with bypass's, or high end coilovers, if not both. 3 of the people who you are talking to run these, and both responded.

the truth is, as was mentioned above. you dont use shock psi on anything but air shocks to adjust rates. YES, you can get SLIGHT adjustments via No pressure, but its a waste for a big boy like you with manly triple bypass'. you want to adjust shock valving by opening em up and changing it out (which YOU CLAIM to know all about, yet here you are actin a fool?), or spring rate by changing out your coils.

posting here was a mistake cause your an idiot troll, so please fix that. maybe you should read more?

Yeah, "our shocks make your shocks look like kids toys" but "can you unsophisticated shock users tell me how to work your cheap ass shocks?". :D

OP, I hope you have a sense of humor. We're having some fun around here and passing info back and forth in the process.

And, BTW, I run shocks that have internal bypass zones, internal hydraulic bumpstops for both bump and rebound, and have positive and negative pressure.....so they're not exactly kids toys.

If it makes you feel better man, that's great, I'm proud of you. So what are they the new Fox ones that come stock on the Raptors?

Funny you mention the trolling cuz just last week I was thinking about being a sponser, this has def solidified my decision on that.

if you cant read a shock manual for baseline pressures, i wouldnt want to buy anything but a shamwow from you... for cash! and i'd double check my change!

youve convinced me 100%, good troll.

as stated in my previous posts the pressure is variable from 150 to 250, what shocks are you running?

p.s. wasn't going to sell anything was going to donate.

I fully understand valving thank you, do your shocks tend to unload while low speed crawling at 190psi?

That first question makes me question your past and your "knowledge" of shocks. Your second statement tells me that you do need the suspension 101 lecture because you are confusing spring rates with your shock pressure.

Post up some pics of your wild triples. Are those on the front or rear? Did you get the single compression and dual rebound or dual compression and single rebound?

Which end do your resis hang from? That there makes a difference in how much pressure to run. Also depends on the oil. And a little on the valving. And what the intended use is.

We used to run 200. We made a significant change for Parker and we liked it. A lot. We are going to try it again for the Mint. But we also run Bilstein. Personally, I'd run Fox's on a trail rig on the lower end of the PSI range.

blahblahblahblahblah.

I'm running custom built 14" bilstein 9100 coilovers, since you asked. :shhh: Your tough guy attitude is why everyone is trying to cram feet up your hershey highway right now, nipple nuts. Take your fancy pants and show em off somewhere else.

this is the rig you're asking about, A King Of the Hammers finisher, by the way.

psh that thar rig is a rednek peese uf poo :gee:.

im obviously joking here. if the OP doesnt take your guys' advice i dont know who he will listen to. the folks posting info in this thread are some of the best on the board, and even in the off road world in some regards. so take the advice that was offered, help them help you, without the attitude and sensitivity.

Holy crap! You paid $760 for driveshafts for your XJ? Wow. Just wow.

Just trying to help out a local shop, spend some money in this economy. I didn't think 450 for the rear was too bad for a custom built CV with Solid Spicer joints it was the rebuild of the front which I was quoted $125 for that magically turned into a whole lot more. Wasn't worth the effort to argue about it.

Can I interest you in some slightly used quality muffler bearings for $200?
