Remove the windshield??

How hard is it to remove the windshield?? I want to replace mine with the rubber gasket one. But if I can get the old one out I can grind down all the studs. I have called almost every place in the phone book asking if they would install the 96+ gasket in my my 89 and they said no because its not how it came from the factory. So I guess I will tell them my 89 MJ has a 96+ windshield frame or somthing...

There have been a few threads about doing this.

From what I've read, I don't believe that the posts actually get in the way of the gasket.

Removing, and reinstall of the glass is best done by pros.
