Where does everyone stay?

They don't close for any season as they have semi-permanent residents!
Yup, the campground is open on the honor system, but the office is closed so you can't call them, just by email. At lease that's what they told me. Thom

They're nice, except when the cotton is falling. :flame:

when we were there in May 06, our cabin was almost burned down when we were on the trail because our drunk neighbors lit a huge "drift" of it on fire amd it went crazy... i guess the fire dept showed up and everything. next time i go in the spring i'm going a little later so we dont have to deal with that crap.

Just made our reservations at the Sleep Inn.

I would camp, but my wife won't. At least the map says we're only a 1/4 mile from the campground.

i would hate to have to stagger that far in a drunken haze. heck, i would just probably curl up next to the fire and go to sleep.

I will be at the best western, going to have to con one of my buddies to come along for the ride to be the dd

Got my confirmation today..

Moab Rim Village Condos. Unit D-4.

The far southside of town away from slickrock is the only downside.

The good side is that you are close to the SteelBender trail head :)

Doesn't that place have a garage?

My problem is I don't want to stay at Slumrock and I don't want to leave my unlockable rig in a hotel parking lot.
I'm gonna have to find some proper acomodations...

Just do what I'm probably going to have to do- sleep in the Jeep!
I won't know for sure if I'm going until June or so. By then the Jeep is going to be the only place left.

if you make a reservation it's usually not that expensive to cancel (IIRC Slickrock charges $5 if you do it a week ahead of time). Also you can often pass on your reservation to someone else.

Um, do you ever remember anything from Moab? LOL
