how did you get your christmas lights wired up and such on your jeep? lol got me a $2 set of lights thats 21ft i want to wire up and put on my jeep.

I picked up a lil 400w/800w (continuois/peak) and hardwired it in the back of my ZJ

They run about $50.. You can get smaller/bigger ones tho

I have a 100 watt one from home depot its was like 10 bucks

I picked up a 400/800peak today, this thread got my wheels turning!! I want to decorate up my jeep, led lights are probably best to go with because they use less wattage eh? Any idea how many strands of led u can run vs incandescent on a 400 watt inverter?

You'll probably get a couple small strands of the LED lights without issue..


If you bump up to a 1000w inverter you should be okay for just about anything

We had 2 500watt spot lights and 1 or 2 grinders running and it wasn't even at 50% load

Or you can buy battery powered rice lights like i did and wrap them around a wreath.

We started with the battery powered lights but soon determined using an inverter with two lights gave a better result.
