I have a Ford 8.8 on the comanche still, already set up for spring under...but that axle is so heavy compared to the d35...the truck already weighs 3500lbs...
so how did you set up your leaf under on your XJ.. i've been trying to get some info from the people tat have already done it but no one wants to give up any info. the feedback im getting is people guess how to convert it.. do you have any pics?Nope, that's what we did with the XJ-R for the $2000 Challenge. We didn't have fancy Deaver springs, just two stock leaf packs, but we also took the opportunity to install a Ford 8.8. Spring under might help with axle wrap a bit when you get hard on the throttle. You will lose a bit of ground clearance since the leaves will be under the axle.

That sucks; it's really important for us because we cycle through so many different drivers. In a 24 hour race the minimum is 4, and at our last race they ranged from 5'6" 150 lbs to 6'3" 275. The sliders made it even remotely possible.I'm not allowed to have sliders
Why do you want to run an a/c condenser? Is there something in the rules about keeping it?

AC is really nice while on transit. And let's face, I'm not going to win any time soon, so I'd rather not sweat my balls off all day long.
