new rig (Black Betty)

This is the stuff i used.

Lined the outer shell of the doors with them and then did an almost solid sheet behind the door cards. Pretty solid sheet on the roof. Did the whole cargo area floor, wheelwells and lined the quarter panels. Took about 6 rolls and about 12 hours. But i was working with locks and mechs in the doors as well.

I'm thinking of getting some cheap yoga mats and some peel and stick velcro. Probably wont stick very well or the velcro will get too hot, but it'll be much much cheaper (40$ for over 100sq/ft)

I removed the carpet,
Then I painted the floors with hi temp paint, 2000*
I then got some cheaper version of fat mat ( I think it was called therma cool?) stick on insulation for the floors
then I threw on some automotive heat and sound insulation , about 1/2" thick, non sticky, and then I threw on a brand new carpet with the super thick backer stuff , it was like triple the thickness. This helped a ton. you could also use the fat mat type stuff for lining the roof and the inside of the doors. Or you could put 6x9s in your front doors and forget all about it.

I used the same stuff, just not to the same extent as Gordo. Seems to work fine

I got 50sq/ft of non decal'd fatmat from amazon for $89.
Just laid it all this week. fairly easy to work with. Hope it does the trick cuz my feet would roast before.

If i had the money i'd got with lizard skin luxury liner pro mat,. that stuff is real nice.

Or just get a bunch of lizards and sit on them!

Mike you'll probably want some additional insulation.

I run that sticky backed thermacool stuff, plus a layer of this :

plus carpet with additional mass backing on the carpet.
stock interiors has your carpet:

the mass backing is like an extra 50$ but its worth it.

With all 3 its nice.

the courier will start to fill more comfy and drivable. then insulate the doors and crap too and make a removable soft top.

Good times in that rig....................... Black Betty is so sweet though I am sure she eases your pain.

I'm curious how you will mount the rails and how they fit. I always thought the rails would be nice but never seen anybody use them.

I thought you were planning on rocker replacement again. Either way can't wait to wheel with everyone next season.

You aught to see me wheel on my 31's trying to keep up with everyone in the rocks. Sliders are my friend.
