Do these have the "roll" or dead spot?

I need better steering.

That is trade-off with inverted T steering. The higher you go, the steeper the drag link angle, the more force it has to turn the tie rod end before it turns the wheels. Our poly bushing helps with this, but lifts over 4" on the XJ can really benefit from going OTK. Better steering angles will always mean less roll.
 
Would the otk kit be required for a 6" lift? Utk has to be better than stock right? Would I be able to just switch it from under to over in the future when I feel I have the skills to do it, or are they different? Thanks.
