I'll be leaving from Carlsbad, hopefully 3-ish Friday, doing 78E/15N/79N/10E/62N/247NE.

I'll try to remember to put on my antenna & turn my CB on. If so, I'll leave it on Ch 14, unless that's got one of those "400lb 55yo I still live with my mom in the boonies" asshats blabbing away on it with the booster. If so, I'll bop down to Ch. 4. If that's screwed up too, I'd go for Ch 24. Keep it in the "4's".

Cell phone's spotty out there, but better than it used to be. I'm on Verizon, and get signal probably 75+% of the time on the lakebed. Mine is a dumbphone, so I have no idea on 4G, etc., however I wouldn't recommend tyring to stream porn or YouTube videos...

I will be heading out jeep less for the day Saturday, you guys doing an unofficial 9 or 10am start to the runs?

I'll be looking to to hopefully find some one to allow a friend and myself to ride along.

I'd plan to be out there a bit before 9, especially if you're looking for seats. I think I have a fairly full Jeep, myself, as long as Mike Finch & his daughter make it out. Those two plus my 70lb dog... yeah. If for some reason Finch & minion fail to make it, I'll have seats, but will be going on the mild/scenic/exploration route, not the Ermagerd Rahks! routes.

CBs are useless here. We use race radios cause of the terrain.

Got home from work at 06:00 then did another hour and a half here. Just woke up and need to pack and see how long I can keep Sebastian in the dark that we're going.

hasnt helped in years, thats how bad it is. Ive got a torn rhomboid muscle. Doc gave me a steroid shot yesterday which helped but its temporary relief. Enough to get me through goatfest hopefully . Then back in bed.

My departure has been delayed while we figure out if Sebastian has come down with another cold or just has the post vaccine blahs. I expect to arrive latish Friday with Sebastian or really late Friday/early Saturday by myself.
