I've got a 1993 XJ, lifted 4.5" with IRO springs and shackles. My drivetrain is a SYE with a CV driveshaft. I've been having a lot of drivetrain vibrations and have managed to get them down to a pretty reasonable level using axle shims (currently at an 8* shim).
However the vibes are still persisting and I think that my overall problem is axle wrap. Right now my driveshaft is about 1* down from the pinion angle, but I can feel the axle shifting in both directions as I accelerate and brake.
Is it common to have to put in a tractor link or similar to prevent wrap? I also noticed that my IRO springs are sagged, so I am wondering if that's contributing to my issues. This has been a long-term problem.
