Ever wonder why the factory KJ renegade bars have covers? Cause even factory roof mounted lights are illegal on the highway.
At least mount them on the bumper so you're not begging for it.

One more question. Should I get one to go across the windshield or go on top of the roof rack? Like maybe a 40 incher. It's my daily that I drive to school and back where in the mornings it's pitch black. My headlights aren't very bright on the back roads...

First, I´d get a set of LED headlights for everyday use. Truck-Lite is absolutely OK for what they cost, J.W.Speaker 8900 Evo are the best you can get but more expensive.

Then, when it comes to LED bars I´d mount them under the roof rack.
