Baja 1000 Chase Crew needed

Wooooo.... tacos!! hey eric any news on the chase crew, i haven't gotten a reply on any pm's.

-John

John Bxxxx is on the "for sure" spread sheet.

If there is any info you or anyone else needs at this time to help you plan or just put you at ease, shoot me a PM and I'll shoot you a quick answer.

Right now I'm compiling everyones names and info and putting it on an Exccel sheet for Tony (tcm glx) to turn into a chase book.

The second I get time, I'll put pen to paper on chase routes and who's getting assigned to where and then I'll pass that along to tony as well.

We should have enough BFG books for everyone. You guys will love these things.

I will try to call everyone personaly very soon.

Thanks agin everyone!

Eric Filar

PCI has em now, and they should be up on Scores website in the next week, you can download from there. PCIs usually has danger spots and little extras on it, but its not free. Scors is.

Alright,

We are having our pre-pre race meeting this Saturday at Ryan's house in Wildomar.

If you can make it I would encourage you to. We're drinkers, so it's a BBQ/meet and greet type of deal. There's alot of people that are on the team this year who have never met, so this is a great oppertunity for me to meet you and you to meet me ect.

Saturday at 2'ish. Dont be afraid to show up early.

We'll have the car there to go over the basic spare part locations and some driver change stuff.

I'm sending everyone that's headed to Baja a PM.

Let me know if I miss you.

Eric

Be sure to follow the prep thread if your not already. Lots of updates last night.

Will you be going next year? I am working on my project XJ right now. I should have it available for next years race. 6" mixed RE / Tomkin lift. HP trussed Dana 44 front, trussed and reinforced Dana 60 (35 spline full float rear), and custom 4.7 / 4.9 Stroker (Hesco or 505 Performance).

Money and time are not a real issue.

I would love to be part of the team.

I would like to have my vehicle fully tested before the event.

Will post pictures once finished.

Good luck this year.

KJ

Oh yeah, forgot to include 33 / 12.5 R 15 MT MTZ's on Allied Bead-lock rims. Tom Woods CV driveshafts. Custom high efficiency radiator and HF water pump. Borgeson steering with HD cooled steering system.

Eric, will the entire race course fit in the GPS?? At V2R, we had to load each day separately..which wasn't a big deal since it was the staged race. But it would take some extra time doing it at driver changes.

Thats a good question Dan. It didnt have any problem taking the 500 course or the 1000 the year before, but I never tried loading the course AND chase routes on one GPS.

We can try this weekend.

I would love to say yes, but every year depends on whether or not we can put the money together. The last time was 3 years ago...

Do not quote me on this Dan, but the V2R is passed along that way because of the way the three day even is held.

For the 1000, my experience has been, it always loads on the the GPS in one file.... I would expect this one be the same.

Hey guys,

If everyone thats going get a chance, can you post up what day and roughly the time you expect to head across the border.

It would be cool if we can get some of you guys to caravan across the border, just from a safety aspect as well as to help some of the guys that arent that experienced with navagatting their way thru TJ.

Thanks,
Eric

I'll be headed sown on Sun. the 15th if anyone planned on coming that early.

I can leave Weds or Thurs... I'm at the mercy of whoever I ride with, or if I take my ride, I'll coordinate with whoever rides with me...

Well I just tracked my passport and it says I should receive it Nov.11th!!! Now I am 85% in at this point. I won't know for sure until the 13th or 14th. Money is tight and I need to see how that pans out. I am pulling out all the stops to go though....trust me.

Talking to Tony yesterday, I am gonna have to rely strickly on my BajaHID.com converted stock headlights for the trip because I don't have the flow to buy any offroad lights at this point.....I'll be happy to go and help out with a WIN!!!
