88 Xj: Manual Antenna Removal - Help Needed

I searched and read my FSM but not much useful information on this topic. I did see the pdf posted for installing the CB antenna in the factory location but that was written for the 97-01 Xj's.

I suspect a similar method to remove the star shaped nut on top of the fender bezel for the antenna but mine rotates everything as a star washer is on the underside of the bracket underneath the fender.

Please advise.

on my 90 was jsut the top nut help everyhting on i had trouble with it just put on some vise grips and gave it a quick yank and it broke loose thankfully just try and do a quick twist and i mean quick should break it lose hope this helps a little help me

then grab the bottom part too. then twist the top nut off.
