1997 XJ, Coil-Over Project - Walker Evans Racing Shocks

Nice projects, is there a lot of races that take place in Indonesia? I havn't really heard too much about that but would be cool if you have any links or information on racing in Indonesia.

This is not an XJ...

In any way.....

at all.....
So its based on a Liberty not an XJ, who freakin' cares? Did you notice his first language is not English? It's still some damn fine fab work and evidence of what he has access to and what he can do...

I believe that they're called Cherokee's over seas... Doesn't matter, either way it's very cool fab work.

Priandhi, thanks for posting up about your project. It's very interesting to see what people in other parts of the world are doing with their rigs. You've shown us some nicely done vehicles.

Yes, there are a few. The official Indonesian Speed Off-Road Association purchased the used to be so called SODA from the US, and we customize the rules and regulations.

I had several people visit me from the US such as from KING SHOCKS, and others.

You might want to visit indonesia one day.

Indonesia is famous for the island of BALI.

Thank you very much for the nice compliment.

We recently learn a lot about rock-crawling from a very nice guy from the US who stayed for nearly 2 years in Indonesia.

At the moment he is back in Colorado (www.fabfours.com)

So, please do come visit us one of these days...

I like this method of using tubing bungs, seems better and easier than welding around the end of the tube and adding a rosette weld or two. good work.
Yeah,.... plus you have more surface area for the welding it to the joint.
"Fish Mouth" It is a common method to weld tubing....

ps: now, what are we going to do with your shifter .....

I would like to, but that is as far as what I have that is related to JEEP.
The rest of our custom built car are mostly for some sort of SODA, SCORE, BAJA type race car, using tubular frame and Chevy, Jeep V-8 Engine, and nothing on XJ.

fish-mouthing (aka notching) is common on joining tubes in a cage, but I don't think I've ever seen it done on a bung.

Maybe I need to come deliver/install my shifter in person and take that red Jeep out for a spin :D I'm working on the shifter now, bench testing should be done this week. I'm going to shoot you an email about LEDs.
