so I ditched my 5.3 z71 and bought a 05 cummins 4x quad cab... So the dealer did all the fluid changes before I bought it.
I was bored today so I went to napa to get the oil, oil filter, and fuel filter, it cost $85.00 wow!!!! It takes 12 quarts of 15/40w.
If I have to do this every 3k miles...
Yeah im leaning towards the diesel as well now. Better MPG will pay for itself since I plan on owing it. Also later if I get a bigger toy hauler I will be able to pull it with no problem.
Okay so here is the deal. Im in the market for a new truck. I plan on having the truck for at least 6 years. It will need to be a daily drive and also able to haul my toy hauler. Its a 21' Carson Fun Runner and I think the GVWR is 8000lbs. After I put the 100 gallons of h20, a quad, and a...
I took it to a FWD trans shop here in el cajon. It was so bad today that I could almost not even drive it. They are road testing it on Monday and getting back to me at no charge. They will have to dissasemble it for sure so its going to cost at least 100 so i'll talk to the guys and make sure...
Fuel filter? I can look into that and replace this weekend that is easy (I suppose) I have not actually seen where its located on this stupid little car
You think the same way I did. Once its in gear why would the clutch have anything to do with it?
So, we were searching around for a car. My wife fell in love with this car that she found online. A 2004 VW Jetta 4 door 2.0 5 speed. Last sunday was when she found it so we went and test drove it. It was pouring rain outside. When we got there we found out it was a 5 speed, but she liked...
Im going to drive them both then make my decision. I will only get the 7.3 ford if I end up getting a ford. 4 wheel drive of course.
This just sucks because the wife and I are trying to buy this house and its a short sale and its taking forever. I dont want to go buy the truck and hurt my...
So you are saying because 99% of the work trucks out there are Ford Super Duty Trucks becase they are the best?
I have seen police/rangers at Gordons Well Sand Dunes in 4x4 diesel dodge trucks in the sand. They are the ones that give tickets.
3/4 ton non-dually is what im looking for f250 maybe 2500 dodge.
It tows okay. I dont know what gears it has its a 4x4 z71. There are times that its at 4K RPM in 2nd gear just trying to go up grades and keep it at 50mph. On the flats it totally fine no problems. I live in Souther California...
I cant choose between the two. I know that the Cummins is a better engine, but the ford has a better transmission. I always keep up on the maintenance on my vehicles so maybe its not a concern?
What about a 7.3 ford... cant go wrong? All the 7.3 ford diesel trucks that I am seeing now have...
The only thing wrong with the door is that the passanger one taps on the front fender when its opened. Nothing wrong with the actual alignment of the door its just the fender is pushed in a little bit there. To lazy to fix it. The insurance totald it because there is a dent or scratch on...
