My oldest grandson has been driving "lil sis" for the past few years. He parked it yesterday with "water in the oil" and "oil in the water"! I don't know until I pull the head what exactly my plan will be going forward.

    New lathe

I have wanted one for years but I never had room for a full size lathe or a bridgeport mill. I decided to p/u one of the mini-lathes out there. I bought the Vevor 7x16, spent Friday checking it out for alignment, run-out, and other features. Saturday got it cleaned up and mounted along with...

    I F***ed myself........

I have been chasing a clunk somewhere up front. I did find a loose tie rod but that wasn't it. I decided to grease/lube everything (broke a super-flex zerk) and the clunk went away! I will pull the one arm to fix the zerk and inspect/rebuild the joint but I'll have to wait and see if the clunk...

    This weekends project.......

I bought this travel trailer a few years ago and although there was no sign of strange tire wear I did notice some excessive camber on the right rear. Anyway the tires were 9yrs old so a new axle, new tires, and a full set of SS bearing buddy's!

    Naxja original gang?

This is my 23rd year here and I'm wondering who else is still here? I didn't start until I bought my 2k xj and had to go it alone on all my earlier xj's!

    Large torque's

It's been awhile since last time I assembled a Curt weight distributing hitch. My friend just bought a new trailer so we are dealing with that now. The thru bolts are 200ft/lb and the ball is 400ft/lb, definately got to bust out the big torque wrench!

    Celebration day tomorrow!

Tomorrow is my last mortgage payment! It will be a giant financial relief but I got to get my things in order as I will now be responsible for paying my insurance and my property taxes. It's still a great feeling!

    Titanium Easy-Flux 125

A friend bought this for us for some welding we did on his gates. This thing is really cool and only weighs 15lbs. Tried it out yesterday on some roof brackets on my patio and it was quite impressive for a 120volt inverter style welder!

    April, a month of hell!!!

I just received my dumpster and I have my roofing contractor scheduled for May 1st. I've got until then to demolish/rebuild my house patio (20'x30') due to water damage, then my roofer will do the entire house. I've already received my lumber order so demolition starts tomorrow!

    A big truck project!

A while back we decided to fit a utility bed on the 1-ton, it was quite a job including adding a Onan generator on a "pull-out tray" and a 12 gallon gas tank. After all the work and paint, it came out really nice!

    A 4.7 build!

A while back I got a call from Russ P asking about some possible assistance for one his motors he's doing all the work on for a client here in Phoenix. I have been in contact with the XJ owner all week (and Russ)so as to arrange for assembling the motor. Should be another interesting build as...
