I didnt try anything else because Advanced Adapters recommended them to me, they said they tried various styles but with it being so tight, the block huggers were the only ones that would fit..... Im having a really hard time trying to find huggers that can be used on this 383.... need to be...
as far as headers, those were standard hooker, block huggers... its the only thing that would work... Im actaully having difficulty finding a company that makes a block hugger header with 1.75" primaries and 3.5 to 4.0 inch collectors.
yeah, I used Advanced Adapters motor mounts as I will again except Im going to replace the rubber bushings with solid aluminum....

So I decided to do another V8 swap in my latest XJ, First I bought a Ram Jet 350 for a deal and decided to sell it and run with the cash. Then I obtained an LT1 ( it was supposed to be an LS1 ) pretty cheap and decided the miles of wiring harness was more of a nightmare than anything else...

well, after another close inspection it was the metal frame of the seat that broke... not the mounting frame... so either a new seat bottom or new seats...Rats I do like the Corbuea seats... Looks like a well made seat.
