before the crawl my junk needs.....

Whew, one more Saturday available to get stuff done...

Still gotta:

Bleed the brakes
Install drive shafts and the front yoke
Tighten up all the bolts in the rear suspension
Replace all the fluid in the t-case and axles
Fix the temp gauge and make sure it’s not running hot. *Fingers crossed*
Install the light bar
Set the front bumpstops
Tie the battery down
Grease everything.
Pray the test drive goes ok.

Pack everything.

I'm hoping it doesn't get down the last minute and I end up scrambling to get stuff done. I hate when that happens. I'll literally be finishing it up, driving around the block, loading it on the trailer and driving to Kentucky.

Hmmm...just found out my commission is going to be paid out in July. Wonder if I can swing a new set of tires and a rear locker in the next 2 weeks.

I'm down to getting my trailer ramps welded together (everything is cut and ready) and then checking diff and t-case fluids in the MJ.

Other than that...and actually packing and loading up...we're READY!!

Finished off the H1 rim reinforcing last night. Need to patch one hole hook up the lights and put the grill back on. I'd like to replace the steering column and shaft but I cannot get the drivers door open on the donor jeep...... Going to look at that again Saturday! I am so ready to wheel!

I still need to rebuild front frame, install new 3 link brackets, and uninstall front lsd and replace with locker.....

Sounds like a man problem. Have you tried finding one to help you?

Yes. It appears the latch is stuck on the striker. I've tried many different things including kicking the door form the inside while someone pulls form the outside. I pulled the interior panel and cleaned it and sprayed it with white lithium grease too. I don't want to destroy the door but will the lock/latch part if need be. Going to look again Saturday.

This is my last weekend to work on this thing as NACfest is next weekend and I'll have my XJ there. This is going to have to be finished evenings only.

Oil & filter Done
Diff fluids Done
Grease everything Done
Install new-to-me-seats Done
Install A/C delete pulley and bracket Done
New belt and idler pulley Done
Delete vacuum lines hoping to fix high idle situation Done
Delete A/C junk so I have more room in the engine bay Done

I got everything done on the list I wanted and then took it for a drive. Now I have a vibration coming from what seems like the passenger front tire. I first thought it was a unit bearing but I jacked it up and there is no play. I'm not sure what is going on but it will be a long drive to Harlan if I have to put up with it.

The lugs tight?I've forgot a couple of times before.

Mostly posting this here so i dont forget anything.

Bottom cage tie ins
Electric Line lock
Move Cb antenna to front bumper and install new coax cable
Oil change and 51515 filter
Spare parts box
Install cherry bomb muffler and wrap it
Load it up on a trailer and drive north.

Got everything done other than the bottom of the cage. I'm going to order some foot plates from D&C tomorrow and hopefully get that taken care of this week/ weekend. Going to get the trailer Sunday and make sure the lights are good and weld on some D ring tabs.

Oil change and diff fluid changes this week. That'll be about as ready as she gets. Didn't get a chance to do a shakedown run with the new steering. Guess Harlan will be that one...

Couldn't get the temp gauge to read. Ordered a sender so I can swap it out this afternoon and see if that fixes the issue. Also need to find a grease gun. Mine broke. Picking up bolts for the bumpstops this afternoon also.

After that I just have to wash it down and I'll be DONE.
