I've been as a passanger on Bronco Peak/Sidewinder and pretty sure my rig is capable of handling both trails. I've searched the Connector and V Notch on Youtube. Whats the min requirements to run that?

I just ran it today. a few spots without bypasses are pretty deep (bronco). my 35s were falling in holes. It was fun. bring a good tow strap. I used both lockers a lot!

OK cool. Yeah i'm on 33's, locked in front, LS in rear.

I ran all the trails a few months ago with the same set up. I had to winch at one spot after the V notch.

I have write ups on all the trails and photobooks showing all the trails from start to finish. http://4x4trailmaps.com/OHVA.php?OHVA_ID=1

The new trail right next to the entrance to Gunslinger was complete. It was a fairly moderate trail with the exception of one climb which gave it a more difficult rating. It took 15-20 minute to run and anyone with a small lift and 31's should be fine. http://4x4trailmaps.com/4x4Trails.php?Trail_ID=441

The other trails off Gunslinger were not complete when I was down there and could only be run out and back.

Have fun, wish I could make it down there again, most of our trails are still snow covered.

It's a no john, wish i could. She said no cause we got DW so bad in my jeep now it is hard to drive at any speed.Hers is open/open and she doesn't want to take it there.

My opinion, there are lots of trails ok for open open...if it's the same watch tower i've been to, it's all nice 'n good. Ask her to rethink, would be great to see you guys !

Oh, just come down!! Run the road up to the firetower... or grab a seat in someone else's rig... if you detour thru Escondido (down the 15), you can come to Movie Night at Kevin & Heather's Friday night, pull up a sofa or folding floor mat at their place, sleep over, and wheel in the morning. Make a mini-vacation out of it!!

I voted for the hardest trails. But I would not do them because I do not have rock rails yet. And I don't like body damage. But I can not go my gears are not broke in yet. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Does anybody have an extra seat?

Cool, Ryan!

JCS JP, I can make an extra (probably back) seat or two. I have my dog Eddie who rides with me, and my daughter may be going along (she's trying to arrange her schedule). But as I said, I'm doing the scenic run. Bright side, I'm in Tierrasanta right off I-15 & T'santa Bl, so I'm close if you want to hop in... My cel is six19 six54 nine758.

If you did the initial 20 minute cool down and have at least 100 miles on them you will be alright. Just take a break half way to Corral Canyon and have breakfast.

What time do you want to hit the trails. Found out that I have to work till about 7:45 am then I should be good. If you are thinking around 9 then I am in.

Last i heard 9am is the meeting time. Now depending on how for out of control Movie night gets at Kevins Friday night... Some may show later.

Nah, we can all make 9a.m... I've done Movie Night drinking til 1 or 2am, crashed out for 3 hours and left for
Truckhaven (playing)
Los Coyotes (playing once, brush clearing the other time)
Big Bear (Trail cleanup once & trash hauling at Sugarloaf the other)
Los Angeles area (hanging out with my LA- area friends)

Oh, but that's right, I'm a Party Superstar... =) No, wait, I'm a 45yo working mother of 3 teens. No, I think the first one was a more accurate description... Oh, Movie Night, how I love thee!!

I think 9 or 10am is reasonable, in that (a) we'll be almost an hour and a half north of there, and (b) the weather's supposed to be relatively cool this weekend, with highs in the mid 70s out there (perfect!).

I anticipate that John will chime in with a meeting time at the Buckman Springs exit off I-8, which has a dirt area next to the offramp, IIRC. 9am there would be hitting the trail, aired down, sometime before 10.

Don't forget, folks, if you're driving out and parking something at Four Corners (trail heads), you need a Forest Pass for your parked vehicle/trailer! I don't want to think about how much the tickets would be in the current "starving government" situation.

My daughter got a ticket for parking with her right tires >18" from the curb... $57... including a mandatory $12.50 "state surcharge".

The plan is to meet at the Buckman springs exit from the 8 at 8:45 and head out to 4 corners to gather around and make plans at 9. I will be right off the freeway at Buckman springs road so people know where to exit.
