Redbird Trail Work Day

Extreme long shot, but seeing as I currently have no job and apartment, I may say f-it and drive out.... It's only a little bit further than WF right??..... ;)

So... Things are kind of tight for me at the moment with two houses, double utilities, a long commute, etc. Plus not wanting to spend the coin on diesel, plus I seem to be having some problems with the ZJ that I just haven't had time to look at.

So I won't be bringing anything to wheel, but Molly and I ought to be there in the trusty Oldsmobile on Friday for at least a night of camping and a day of riding along and cleaning up the trail.

I'll try really hard to have my s*** together by the fall cleanup! :D

Huge surprise here! You're so gracious Rev... and I'm sure it's out of the goodness of your heart and not because she's a college-aged female or anything!

Nonetheless... she is all for it. And given how much she makes fun of me for being "old," I'm sure you'll have some great conversation.

Looks like I'm going to make my first trail cleanup. Dumb question, but what exactly does the cleanup entail? :dunce: Just thinking about tools I might be able to bring.
 
Removing trash....most of it is from our rigs.
Clearing any trees down over the trail.
We MAY be building a bypass around a really DEEP mudhole.

Tools?
Saw (chain preferred)

I'm not sure what my arrival/departure schedule will be yet, but I will definitely be there to work/wheel on Sat. and camp at least one night I believe.

I'll ask Mike(cardboard) tomorrow if he is gonna come, i know he talked about it. Also, I believe Jim is gonna be there too.
 
Wow, aside from Aaron and Brad; Rev, you're getting them new faces you're always asking for. Wish I could be there...but Harrison should be joining us within the next 5 weeks or so.

I think 96 XJ is the only new clean-up face in the confirmed list...
