THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So you are stripping it and throwing your crap on it? You probably already answered this question but I have no ambition to look back and see.

Nah getting it ready for stiffeners (front to rear), rocker replacements, 3-link front, HP60 and either a D70 or a 14b out back. Keeping the rear leafs and probably just reinforce the mounts.

Cage will come next fall/winter.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone know how Mr. Rob made out today?
Yeah well next meeting you need to show up and then we'll go.
Exactly. You have a whole month to take the day off. Do it. Then we'll be there.
Good call. I'll probably start selling a lot of it when I start stripping the thing. For instance I'll probably go Bill's route and get better seats/etc so all the power stuff will be going as well.

I'll probably keep the woodgrain dash and door panels just so people know that yes it's a waggy and yes I'm beating the **** out of it :D.
My seats are perdy, but I wouldn't put them on the list until it's sitting on axles.
Woodys are awesome, the grill/headlight setup is my favorite part.
Idk if I'm flattered or annoyed :confused1 And if I can, I'm definitely going to try to go next month. With my job Wednesdays are a serious pain in the ass to take off, but I do when I can.
You have a four week notice. Do it.

No, he better not be doing this.

Good plan. Wheel the current one while building the other.

Time for me to continue work down in the garage.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The hose from the nozzely thing to the big dookin wire/gas feeder line (yea i dont got my welder anatomy down) cracked. So now all my shielding gas leaks out right there before it gets to the gun.
18679-img-1496edit.jpg

now the rubber hose is uber tight on the silvery piece so sliding it is not an option. and i cannot figure out for the life of me how to remove the brass nozzely assembly thing towards the right side of the picture...
i was thinkin just wrap some electrical tape around that shit. but that will likely leak and not last long atall.
HELP

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sam, i have no idea. is it time to get a new line/gun?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone know how Mr. Rob made out today?

Last I knew he was just waiting for his debit card limit to be bumped up, but then he had to go to work and said he was going to try and get it ordered after work. I'm guessing if he can't get it done tonight it'll get ordered tomorrow.

Since we're on the subject(ish) Bill, what's your opinion on whether he should get the 1350 CV outputs, or 1300/1400 flanges?? Know of any drawbacks/advantages either way? I'm just curious as to what you think and why :)

Exactly. You have a whole month to take the day off. Do it. Then we'll be there.

still a pretty weak excuse in my opinion... and half the reason taking any day off is hard for me is I can't afford it. Last month I got knocked down to 3 days a week which is hurting my bank account pretty good... Last thing I need is to take a day off to go shoot the shit with people I talk to constantly online. And no, I can't swap shifts with someone for Wednesday, which is what I meant by Wednesdays being a pain in the ass for me to take off. But I *will* try to see if I can get something figured out for next month. Like I said, when I'm able, I really like to get to as many meetings as I can. Hell, I think(?) it was the December meeting, I called out of work sick and then you decided not to come, so .!..!.

Time for me to continue work down in the garage.

what else is new :moon:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

wooo, my weeds season 3 disk 1 disk came in today from netflix. Now to throw that down on the desk and let it get buried under some paper so I can forget about it for 3 weeks... hmmm... where to put it. :rof:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i wanna make all my links, track bar, and steering outta the same size. im thinking 1.75 OD .375" wall would do nicely. links get the joints tapped and threaded right in (track bar too if i use the same shank) and the rest get some tube adapters.

rather than spamming my thread, i'm bring the :spam: to the thread made for :spam:.

1.75" OD 0.375" wall is borderline on the stiffness. i'll run the #'s tomorrow at work (i wrote a matlab script, nice and easy). but i'm guessing it's no stiffer than 2" OD 0.25" wall. gotta check the #'s though.

other news:
-all control arms are out
-RE 1665/1670 off
-still have issue with getting the rear leaf bushings into the shackles, might try to get them out with a ball joint press, ruin them, and buy new ones? who has experiences with leaf bushings?

When I had my first set of RE leafsprings in, you could start rocking the Jeep, and it would sound like when you picked up a hooker in your car in Grand Theft Auto.

Squeak, Squeak, Squeak...

Does that count as experience?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

no, it doesn't. do you know why? i'll tell you why. you decided to sell your SX's 2 days after i bought some. that's why.
