How much ft/Lbs torque on sway bar end link?

98 XJ, no lift, Moog sway bar end links and bushings. How much torque should I put when tightening down the top nut on the end link. The Chiltons manual says to tighten securely; whatever that means. If your bushings are bad its gonna sway, and conversely if its too loose its gonna sway. Also if its too tight your gonna over compress the bushings; or maybe that doesn't matter. So does anyone have a recommendation, I want it tight but I don't want to shorten the life of the bushings by over tightening. Thanks in advance.

In my opinion, torque specs for stuff other than engines, drivetrains, or wheels are to keep numb skulls from breaking shit.

Just make it tight.

LOL. My father is a pipe fitter, and I find myself trying to fight the upbringing of having to fix stripped, and/or broken nuts and bolts due to tightening the living crap out of everything.
