shock mounts on spring plates?

Just wondering if any one has done this and if so how it worked out. This will be for a desert racer so articulation and shock travel are not as important as in a rock rig.

nothing wrong with that setup at all, as long as you build the top shock mounts properly to work with it, you should be fine
they will be going through the floor and mounting to existing internal cage, 3.0", maybe 14" travel, King resis. I used the old rear swaybar mounts for the shock mounts.

I had mine setup like that about 4 years ago. It worked great. They ran fron the spring plates up to the cage. I ran them through the floor between the inner wheel well and the uniframe rail.

As an alternative, you could use MJ spring plates.
